If you’re looking for a quieter place to work on homework, the Alpena County Geroge N. Fletcher Public Library is a wonderful place to do so. The recently updated library offers free WIFI and computers and nice seating areas. Some other great places that offer WIFI are Cabin Creek Coffee and Biggby Coffee. You can enjoy a delicious cup of coffee and a snack with your friends while you work on that next project.

Everyone always wants to wear that perfect outfit for their first day back to school or first day of college, and downtown offers a handful of clothing stores to find it! Glik’s and Colburn Outfitters both have a large selection of men’s and women’s clothing to choose from. You can also check out Ana’s Treasures Thrift Store for used clothing and Myers’ Fashions etc. for a variety of women’s clothing!

After a long stressful day at school, you can head downtown with your friends and hangout at one of the many cool hangout spots! Go to Bob’s Bullpen and play arcade games for hours or check out the latest comic book, see the newest released movie at the Sanctuary Cinema, or just take a walk and shop at the many unique downtown stores. If you’re a college student that’s of age meet up with your friends at the local bars/restaurants for a drink and an appetizer!
