Fall is coming up quickly and the changing of the seasons brings a lot of fun and neat events to downtown Alpena! So put on your favorite flannel and grab some friends and check out all the events coming to downtown Alpena this fall!

13 Annual Alpenopoly Grub Crawl – To kick off the fall season, you and your friends can partake in the pirate themed grub crawl September 12th from 5:30-10pm hosted by the Alpena Chamber of Commerce! Tickets are just twenty dollars and include a bandana, game board, shuttle, games, and appetizers/drink specials at each location. Shades of Fall & Thunder Bay Winery Harvest Festival – If you’re looking for something to do with the kids, you and your family can head downtown on September 14th and enjoy the various children’s activities from 12-3pm hosted by Thunder Bay Arts. There’s everything from a puppet show, hayrides, an inflatable obstacle course and more! Afterwards the adults can enjoy the 12th annual Harvest festival hosted by the Thunder Bay Winery from 3-9pm. 4th Annual Hopside Hoptoberfest – The next fall event to add to your list is Hoptoberfest, which is an all-day event on September 21st hosted by Hopside Brewery! Checkout their unique patio area and play some games, sip on a specialty Hoptoberfest brew, and enjoy food specials!

Black Sheep Anniversary & Octoberfest – Enjoy a specialty drink and appetizer October 5th at 3pm at the Black Sheep during their Octoberfest! Be sure to keep an eye on their website for the upcoming details!

Witches Night Out – With October being the official month of spooky season, it only makes sense to come to downtown Alpena October 18th and partake in Witches Night Out hosted by the DDA! From 5-8pm you can check out stores downtown that will be staying open late to see what spooky specials they have! Be sure to stop by the bars & restaurants as well to purchase a specialty beverage! Trunk or Treat & Downtown Trick or Treating – Celebrate Halloween with the kiddos October 25th 5-7:30pm, by bringing them to downtown Alpena to trick or treat at downtown businesses! They can also find some treat at the Trunk or treat event that will be taking place at the same time behind city hall!

Drag Show & Halloween Costume Contest – Put on your best costume and purchase tickets to PIF Cider’s two day drag show and costume contest! Enjoy wonderful cider while watching the drag show and have your costume judged by the queens to win a 1st 2nd or 3rd prize! This event will take place October 25th and 26th at 7pm and tickets are twenty-six dollars. Be sure to purchase your ticket on PIF’s website before they sell out!

Mango’s Tequila Bar Day of the Dead – To close out the fall season you’re going to want to go to Mango’s in downtown Alpena November 2nd and check out their brand-new Day of the Dead celebration! There’s going to be kid’s activities in the afternoon followed by live music, Catrina costume contest, ofrendas on display in the alleyway and food & drink specials!
