Halloween is only a few days a way, and there are plenty of ways to get in the spooky spirit this weekend in Downtown Alpena! Get your costumes ready and check out what’s going on downtown:

1.Trick-or-Treat Downtown tonight from 5-7 pm. Bring the whole family and trick-or-treat at participating stores and businesses all throughout the downtown who will be passing out candy in front of their storefronts. You can view participating stores at the Facebook event here. Trunk or Treat is also happening in the parking lot behind City Hall (208 N. 1st Ave). starting at 6 pm, where different community organizations will be passing out candy as well.

2. Join the Zombie Crawl at the Fresh Palate this Saturday at 6 pm. Hunt zombies, take selfies and find items on a spooky hayride scavenger hunt. Bring a team of two or more of your best dressed friends for a chance to win $250 in gift certificates. Check in is at 6 pm at the Fresh Palate (109 N. Second Ave). View event details here.

3. Stop by the Halloween Party at Black Sheep this Saturday at 9 pm. Once you’re done zombie crawlin’, join the party and premier of Dr. West’s new album. The party starts at 9 pm at the Black Sheep (113 S. Second Ave). View all the details here.

4. Enjoy a festive brew at Hopside’s Halloween Party this Saturday from noon to 9 pm. Stop by downtown’s newest brewery and try their new release, Pumpin’ & Jackin’, a pumped up Oktoberfest with fresh roasted pumpkin and pie spices. Costumes encouraged! Learn more here.
