This Thursday, May 26th, from 6- 8 pm, Art in the Loft will be hosting a free opening and artist reception to kick off their Summerview 2016 season in the gallery. While showcasing the new art on exhibit for summer, the reception will also feature appetizers, drinks, and live music.
Over FORTY artists from Northeast Michigan will have artwork on display in the gallery, located in the historic Center Building, starting tomorrow night through October 1st. Many of the featured artists will be at the reception to discuss their work and why they made it, said Gallery Coordinator Justin Christensen-Cooper.
This event is FREE and open to the public. So stop by for a bit, chat with the artists, grab a drink, listen to some music, and celebrate the arts in downtown Alpena!

Art in the Loft is located in the Center Building at 109 2nd Avenue in the heart of downtown Alpena. In addition to 7,000 square feet of gallery space, they also host a variety of visual and culinary arts workshops for all ages, educational activities, and arts-centered community events (such as this fine reception).
